One of the users from my site happenned to close a list items webpart from allitems.aspx page. I found no option from web part maintenance page(?contents=1) to open the closed web part.
when the user closes the web part using 'X' sign on the web part while the page is in edit mode, the web part still exists on the page but it is not displayed.
After a while we found out that the solution was quite simple. Here are the steps to add the closed web parts to the web page.
- Site Actions -> Edit Page
- Click Add a Web Part
- Click Advanced Web Part gallery and options
- Click Closed Web Parts
- Drag closed web part onto the page
